IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, WE CAN DO IT

Howell & Associates Inc. is a premium home entertainment and integration solutions provider that also specializes in incorporating a variety of commercial installations.

Allow the leading CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association) award-winning home theatre and integration company in Canada (Crestron award-winner for Best User Interface) to design  entertainment experiences to meet your lifestyle needs and elevate them to a new level of comfort, serenity and control.

Our strength is built on our “one-stop-shop” approach.  We take care of our customers’ needs through all stages of the home solutions process including:  the planning stage, design stage, installation stage and after sales service stage.

We customize your home automation needs and enhance your lifestyle by simplifying it.   We program all of your home systems into one simple touch panel system that allows you to effortlessly control an unlimited number of interior and exterior functions throughout your home, such as: your security system, audio and video entertainment systems, lighting, heating and air conditioning, controlled irrigation systems, automated landscaping features, as well as the operation of your pool, spa etc.

The security of your home can be taken to a whole new level.  Access security camera views from the Internet while you’re away.  Tie lighting functions into your security system to disarm intruders with flashing lights that will activate in combination with audio signals designed to confuse and disorient unwanted guests.

Heat it up or cool it down with an HVAC (Heating, Air Conditioning) integration system that responds to one touch on a panel.  Program your thermostat to a preferred room temperature and while you’re at it, control the water temperature of the pool or spa as well.  Heat up the floor in your Master Ensuite half an hour before turning in for the night on a cold winter’s day or regulate the amount of cool air in your environment long before you arrive home if you need to beat the heat.

Multiple functions can be programmed into a ‘one touch’ system of various buttons that meet the requirements of your busy lifestyle.  For example, hit the ‘Welcome’ button and watch your entranceway light up, illuminating pathways and filling in the shadows.  Hit the ‘Entertainment’ button to set the home stage for your guests:  start the fire, cue some mood music, activate a pre-set number of lights to illuminate preferred artwork, accent period pieces of furniture and highlight your home’s architectural details and features.

Touch screen solutions are visibly attractive solutions, as they allow you to keep your walls free of clutter caused by the multiple uses of switches.

Keeping all of your home systems organized on one panel simply saves you time and is simple enough for each member of the family to use.

Touch screen control allows you to keep current with technology, as it allows you to write new programs on your system, as required.

We help you keep your options open by providing you with long term solutions.  Pre-wiring your home for future technology options at the time of installation saves you from having to redo the infrastructure more than once.

JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN DO IT, IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU SHOULD

Clients are given a ‘Needs Assessment’ before a comprehensive system is designed for them.

We take into account the various lifestyle factors that influence theatre and home integration design, such as:

  • the number of children in your family
  • the frequency of entertaining in the home
  • preferred movies and sports events
  • favourite CDs
  • budget
  • style
  • colour scheme

A Needs Assessment will channel your investment into practical solutions.

For example, it will determine whether a fully dedicated home theatre would work best for you or an integrated media room (half theatre/half entertaining centre e.g. wet bar & food prep. area).

Helping you choose the right products for their applications is a long-term practical solution vs. a short term and often, overpriced fix.

INSTALL IT ONCE, AND INSTALL IT RIGHT

You can depend on the quality of workmanship in our installations and in the premium products used.

Technicians are trained to take care and pride in their work.  For example, wires are tied neatly for appearances, to ensure their reliability and secure electrical connections.

Technicians are expected to follow a Code of Ethics outlining how they are to conduct themselves when dealing with a client over the phone or in a client’s home.  They are expected to show up on time, make contact with the client in the event of a delay, wear plastic coverings over their shoes to protect a homeowner’s floors, employ the use of drop cloths when setting equipment down and handle equipment with care.

Technicians receive on-going training at regular intervals to keep their skills up-to-date with new technology and manufacturers’ standards.

All technicians are trained at a CEDIA level, if not at more advanced levels of certification.

Our clients receive exceptional on-site service and over-the-phone technical support as required after their systems have been installed.

Our workmanship is guaranteed, and we will rectify any concerns free of charge if it doesn’t measure up to a client’s expectations.

Loaner equipment is available for our clients so that they aren’t left without, for example, a television over the time period it takes to service their equipment.

Within the first year of sale, any warranty issues fall under the responsibility of Howell & Associates Inc.  A long term customer service electronics plan, unique to Howell and Associates, is available to cover expenses beyond that duration of time.  Backed by leading insurance company, Assurant, a four year bumper-to-bumper service plan is available for package purchase.
